Switchgear of CHEAZ-63/10 (KNV-10) series
CHEAZ-63/10 switchgear manufactured both to meet the needs of the country's economy and for export, as well as for installation on sea vessels and floating structures.
CHEAZ-63/10 switchgears are designed for power facilities with 3-phase AC power (50/60 Hz) of 6 and 10 kV with resonant earthed or isolated neutral.
CHEAZ-63 switchgear correspond to the requirements of GOST 14693 and technical conditions of BKZHI.674551.007 TU.

Distinctive features

modules are divided into compartments: relay, switch compartment, main busbar compartment, linear busbar compartment;
- bottom busbar arrangement;
- floor mounted high voltage switch;
- various interlocks to protect against faulty actions during maintenance and repair;
- drawing of service connection diagrams on the basis of electrical-mechanical relay, as well as microprocessor-based RPA;
- a full set of main circuit and secondary wiring circuit diagrams that meet the Customer's requirements;
- can be joined with other types of switchgear using socket adapters.

Switchgear climatic version - N and T, category of location - 3;
Nominal values of environmental climatic factors are as per GOST 15150 and GOST 15543.1.
And:
- ambient temperature range for switchgear cabinet is:
- from -5 to +40 ºС - for switchgear cabinets without heaters installed in their compartment;
- from -25 to +40 ºС - for switchgear cabinets with electric heater installed in the relay cabinet;
- type of atmosphere - II (industrial) as per GOST 15150;
- altitude above sea level should not exceed 1000 m;
- CHEAZ-63 switchgear, installed on sea vessels and floating structures, shall ensure reliable operation at relative humidity of 75±3% at +45±2ºС or 80±3% at +40±2ºС, as well as at relative humidity of 95±3% at +25±2ºС;
- explosion-proof environment, free from conductive dust, aggressive vapors and gases that destroy insulation and metals.
* If it is necessary to use switchgear cabinets at an ambient temperature above 35°C, the rated currents for cabinets of 1600 to 3150A should be 5% lower than the values specified in data sheet.
Construction
Structure of switchgear cabinets correspond to the requirements of GOST 14693, GOST 12.2.007.0, GOST 12.2.007.4.
Withdrawable element of CHEAZ-63 switchgear has two fixed positions: operating and test.
Latch mechanism fastens the withdrawable element, preventing it from spontaneous movement during operation of all cabinet mechanisms both in normal mode and during a short circuit.
The following design solutions are provided in the switchgear cabinets to protect maintenance staff:

live parts of the main circuits that remain or can turn out to be energized after the withdrawable element has been moved to the repair position are automatically closed by shutters equipped with the devices for their locking;
- the shutters have warning notices and safety signs as per GOST 12.4.026;
- the body of the withdrawable element has two continuous electrical contacts with the body of the switchgear cabinet in the operating, test and all intermediate positions between the operating and test positions of the withdrawable element.
The design of switchgear cabinets and conductors ensures protection of maintenance staff from accidental contact with live and moving parts enclosed in a shell and protection of equipment from solid foreign bodies in accordance with the degree of protection IP30.
In case of short circuit through an arc the failure is localized directly inside the switchgear cabinet or installation unit in accordance with GOST 14693 with an electric arc exposure time of no more than 0.2 s. The limitation of the specified time is ensured by installing relief valves with limit switches and photo sensors together with electrical circuits of relay protection.
Switchgear cabinets have the following mechanical and electric interlocks:

interlock preventing the movement of a withdrawable element from the operating position to the test, as well as from the test position to the operating position when the switch installed on the withdrawable element is turned on;
- interlock preventing the switch installed on the withdrawable element from being turned on when the withdrawable element is between the operating and test positions;
- interlock preventing the withdrawable element from moving from the test to the operating position when the earthing switches are on;
- interlock preventing the withdrawable element with release contacts of the main circuits from movement under load;
- interlock preventing the earthing switches from being switched on in a segmentation device with disconnecting contacts of the main circuit when the withdrawable element with the switch is in the operating position;
- interlock preventing the local or inter-sectional switch from being turned on when the busbar earthing switches on the section are turned on.
