Switchgears CHEAZ-70/20 are designed for industrial and atomic power facilities with 3-phase AC power (50/60 Hz) of 20 kV with resonant earthed or isolated neutral.

Distinctive features

  • The module is divided into compartments: relay, withdrawable element (switch), linear busbar and cable junctions compartment, main busbars compartment;
  • Various interlocks for protection against faulty actions during repair and maintenance;
  •  Use as switching device for vacuum circuit breakers (ISM25_LD, VD4, Evalis, 3АЕ SION, ВВУ-СЭЩ, etc.);
  • Made of galvanized metal, which allows to use the modules in places with aggressive environments;
  • A full set of main circuit and secondary wiring circuit diagrams that meet the customer's requirements;
  • Drawing of auxiliary connection diagrams on the basis of electromechanical relays, as well as microprocessor-based relay protection and automation.

Construction

CHEAZ-70/20 switchgear cabinet is a prefabricated rigid metal structure made of galvanized steel. Metal structures are connected using steel rivets. At the bottom the cabinet has necessary openings for entry of power and control cables, as well as openings for attaching the cabinet to the base.

To protect the maintenance staff the following design solutions are provided in CHEAZ-70/20 switchgear:

  • live parts of the main circuits that remain or can turn out to be energized after the withdrawable element has been moved to the repair position are automatically closed by shutters equipped with the devices for their locking;

  • the shutters have warning notices and safety signs as per GOST 12.4.026;
  • the body of the withdrawable element has two continuous electrical contacts with the body of the switchgear cabinet in the operating, test and all intermediate positions between the operating and test positions of the withdrawable element.

CHEAZ-70/20 switchgear cabinet have the following mechanical and electric interlocks:

  • interlock preventing the movement of a withdrawable element from the operating position to the test (disconnected) position, as well as from the test (disconnected) position to the operating position when the switching device installed on the withdrawable element is in actuated position;

  • interlock preventing the switching device installed on the withdrawable element from being switched on when the withdrawable element is between the operating and test positions;
  • interlock preventing the withdrawable element from moving from the test (disconnected) to the operating position when the earthing disconnecting switches are on;
  • interlock preventing the earthing disconnecting switch from being switched on when the withdrawable element is in the operating position;
  • interlock preventing the withdrawable element from being unlocked in the operating and intermediate (between operating and test) positions;
  • interlock preventing the earthing switches from being switched on in a segmentation device with disconnecting contacts of the main circuit when the withdrawable element with the switch is in the operating position.

In cabinets supplied to nuclear power facilities, high-voltage switches included in the ЧЭАЗ-70/20 switchgear have the corresponding safety class according to НП-001-97.
