Low-voltage switchboards (LVSB)

LVSB are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of technical specifications, GOST R 51321.1, manufacturer engineering drawings and the customer design documentation. LVSB designed for buildings shall also correspond to the requirements of GOST R 51732 and GOST R 51778.

Detailed information

Требования безопасности

 Safety requirements - according to GOST R 51321.1, GOST 12.2.007.0, Regulations for Electrical Installation and Interindustry Rules on Labor Safety (Safety Rules) by Operation of Electric Units.

Plates and markings

A free-standing LVSB or panel has markings on the nameplate in accordance with GOST 18620-86 indicating:

  • manufacturer trademark;

  • conventional name or product designation;
  • serial number;
  • date of manufacture;
  • specification symbols.

The following additional information is specified on the nameplate of LVSB:

  • basic parameters of the main circuit;

  • basic parameters of the auxiliary circuit;
  • degree of protection according to GOST 14254.

On the control panels, nameplates are installed on each section.

LVSB certified in the GOST R Certification System, have conformity marking in accordance with GOST R 50460.

Requirements to transport and consumer packaging

Package transport marking - according to GOST 14192, the following handling symbols shall be applied: "Fragile. Handle with Care", "Lifting Points", "Up", "Keep Dry", "Temperature Limit", "Center of Gravity’" "Tropical Packaging".

Additionally, the designation of LVSB is applied to two opposite sides of the transport container in accordance with the customer's documentation. The package is manufactured according to GOST 23216 and storage and transportation conditions, as well as allowable storability time. The category of package corresponds to GOST 15846.

LVSB supplied for export in the manufacturer's package must be preserved depending on the storage and transportation conditions and storage periods in accordance with the documentation of the manufacturer, taking into account the requirements of GOST 23216-78 and GOST 9.014-78.

LVSB is packed and placed in the transport container in such a way as to prevent their movement inside the container during transportation and to avoid damage to the LVSB and its coverings. If required LVSB is secured with wooden blocks. There are shock absorbers between the blocks and LVSB.

Technical and accompanying documentation is packed and marked according to the requirements of GOST 23216-78. Documentation supplied together with the LVSB must be placed in a sealed polyethylene package. Package structure is as per GOST 12302-83.

The marking is applied to the package with documentation, to a cardboard or paper insert. When transporting in containers, the requirements of GOST 20259 are taken into account.

Transportation and storage of LVSB

LVSB, oversized according to transportation conditions, must be transported divided into transport sections: separate units. Upon agreement, switch boards can be supplied in the form of control panels. Control panels with a total length of more than 4 m are supplied in the form of separate sections with electrical connections made within each section. The length of each section does not exceed 4 m.

LVSB, oversized according to transportation conditions, must be transported separately.

LVSB transportation conditions are determined by the customer when placing the order, depending on the method of transportation in accordance with the requirements of GOST 23216. Storage conditions during transportation correspond to storage group 7, and for LVSB supplied for export to countries with a tropical climate, storage group 9 according to GOST 15150.

Electrical devices and other components that cannot be transported while installed on the LVSB must be dismantled and transported in packaging that meets the requirements of the technical specifications for the specific components. The installation of dismantled components at the site of the LVSB is carried out by the customer.

The transportation of LVSB in closed vehicles for domestic and export deliveries is carried out according to the storage group per GOST 15150, with the mechanical factor according to GOST 23216.

If the components of the LVSB have different transportation and storage conditions, then the transportation and storage conditions for the LVSB should be determined based on that information.

Loading, securing, and transporting LVSB in vehicles shall be carried out in accordance with the current regulations for the transportation of goods on the respective types of transport. Furthermore, loading, securing, and transporting LVSB by rail must be performed in accordance with the "Technical Conditions for Loading and Securing Cargo" and the "Rules for the Transportation of Goods" approved by the Ministry of Railways, while transportation by road must comply with the "Rules for the Transportation of Goods by Road" approved by the Ministry of Road Transport of Russia.

The storage group according to GOST 15150 and the storage period are specified by the customer when placing an order, with storage condition I having a duration of no more than 3 years, while storage conditions 2, 3, and 6 have a duration of no more than 1 to 1.5 years. If no indication is provided in the order, the storage period for the LVSB is accepted according to the storage group — for a tropical climate, the period is 1 to 1.5 years.

The lower ambient air temperature during transportation is -40°C, while during storage it should not be lower than 5°C.

Assembly and installation of LVSB

The design of the LVSB, parts of which are transported separately, allows for mechanical assembly and electrical installation at the site of operation without any modifications to the design elements.

The design of the LVSB must ensure access to all components, devices, terminals, and facilitate operation after the LVSB is completed with devices and equipment at the installation site.

The fasteners and the connection elements for the main and auxiliary circuit busbars are supplied together with the LVSB. The screw connections of the LVSB components and the devices fasteners are protected against self-loosening.

The LVSB power busbars powered from three-phase alternating current are marked with colors:

  • yellow - phase A;

  • green - phase B;
  • red - phase C;
  • green and yellow - protective earth and neutral (PEN).

Alternation of busbar colors is on the service access side. In open switchboards, the service access side should be taken as the side where the terminal blocks are located.

Requirements to operation conditions

Operation and maintenance of LVSB must be carried out in accordance with the "Rules for the Design of Electrical Installations", the "Rules for Technical Operation of Electrical Stations and Networks of the Russian Federation" and the operational documentation.

LVSB must be earthed at the installation site.

At the end of the service life, the LVSB are subject to dismantling and subsequent disposal.

Information on dismantling and disposal must be included in the operating manual or passport for the LVSB.

If all requirements of the technical documentation are met, the LVSB should not harm the environment, human health, or genetic heritage during testing, storage, transportation, operation, and disposal.
